Walgreen's Deals 5/1-5/7

Here are the best deals at Walgreens this week. I have highlighted my favorite deals in red. . 

Remember these things when you are shopping at Walgreens: 

1)Always hand over the manufacturers coupons first when using a store and manufacturer coupon. After the manufacturer coupon is scanned, THEN hand over the Walgreens coupons (this will make it so their register doesn’t beep and will allow for overage if applicable.)

2) You can only use one manufacturer coupon or register reward per item purchased (walgreens coupons dont count). Try and find a clearanced item or something cheap with in ad coupon as a filler if needing to use several coupons or register rewards to pay.

3) Many items are free after Register Reward or RR. A Register Reward is printed AFTER you checkout with the particular item and can be used like Walgreens money in store. Two things to remember about Register Rewards: A) They are read like a coupon in the register so make sure you have more than one item if using a register reward and manufacturer coupon for an item. B) If you use a register reward to pay for the same item you received the register reward for, it will NOT print again. You can alternate with other register reward items and it will print fine

Saturday Savings - 4/30

I did a grocery run on Thursday and a very small Walgreen's run yesterday. They were out of pretty much everything so I got a few rain checks and 3 bottles of nail polish. Everything pictured was from Harps or Aldi. I got all 7 boxes of popcorn free after coupon. I was SO excited to finally have a pop corn sale. My boys LOVE Kettle Corn and would eat it as an afternoon snack every day if I let them. The lunch meat in the picture was marked down for quick sale to $0.99 and they had $0.55 peelies on them. I also got a marked down roast and family pack of round steaks not pictured. My total for the week, for everything including the meat not pictured was just $35.

Start With A...

Yellow Cake Mix.

Grab two 16 oz bags of frozen peaches (any frozen fruit will work) in a large bowl and toss with 1 tsp vanilla and 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Pour into a well greased 9x13 baking pan. Sprinkle cake mix on top of that and pour an entire can of Sprite (any lemon lime soda can) over all of that.

Bake covered for 20 minutes and then uncovered for 30 on 350. Serve and enjoy! This is a fabulous mock peach cobbler that is much lower fat than the traditional variety!

(You can omit the vanilla and cinnamon but we like that flavor combo better than just plain)
